His memorable work and adamant will of change in the community has recognized him as the father of the community. Based on his sole experiences from the apartheid era, he continues to make certain that black communities are provided for and are put first. Born in 1947 and breed in Alexandra, Twala developed his sense of generosity when he was 23 for the people of the Alexandra community, during this time is when he realized the effect of poor services especially of burial companies and decided to open his own undertaker company, Twala-Ama-Afrika , which translates ‘Carry the Africans’ .
